Motoryacht ROYALcabin 47' (exclusive project by judel/vrolijk & Co. design bureau)

With this project Lagoon Royal shipyard launched into partnership with the world leading naval architect bureau judel/vrolijk & co., thus developing a new line of wooden motor yachts (’Lobster’ as a prototype).

Over 30 years of their professional history, judel/vrolijk & co. have successfully implemented above 400 various projects including large displacement ships made of steel and carbon racing yachts, traditional wooden yachts as well as jetted. Among them are winners of distinguished competitions — Admirals Cup, the Copa del Rey, the Withbread, the Sardinia Cup, etc., Spanish Royal yacht, and custom projects ordered by outstanding VIPs obtaining «Forbes» profile.

In due time judel/vrolijk & co. designed yachts for «Alinghi» team from Switzerland who twice ended up as prize winners of «America’s Cup by Louis Vuitton», most prestigious competition in the yachting domain, thus Europe resuming the cup for the first time over 150 years of the competition history.

The yacht’s concept is based on traditional lines of so-called «Lobster Boat» (motor yacht of East coast of North America) including latest design concepts. The project is considered basic for the line. Lagoon Royal are capable of manufacturing yachts of this type sized from 12m-18m by preserving external architectural design and individuality. The distinctive feature of the project is maximum usage of inner space, though we manage to keep a traditionally large and comfortable aft cockpit which is typical for all «Lobsters».

There are 2 perfectly fitted double-bed cabins and a small visitor cabin that can be as well used by a child or a captain. There are a salon with sliding doors and sunbathing area on the deck.

It is for the first time in the history of wooden yacht building when the latest development of Volvo Penta Company — propulsion engine IPS 600 — was installed within the wooden hull improving the yacht’s capacity and maneuvering.
